“I have already recommended two friends and my mother-in-law. My goal would be to get my mum, dad and sister on the program.
To the people who aren’t on it…don’t be scared, you are worth it This has been the best thing I have done in my entire life. It has helped me physically and mentally. I have learnt to listen to my body and what is healthy or unhealthy for me. Also, the food is great and I always feel full and satisfied. The personal coaching has kept me focused and taught me so much. If you do the protocol and stick to it, you will never regret it.”

“I was referred by my friend… We used to go to high school together & I saw her progress and success on Facebook so contacted her for the information.
I thought it would be far more restrictive. My worst fear was that this would just be another diet that I’ve tried and failed. I didn’t expect to lose weight this quickly.
I just wanted to lose weight no matter how fast or slow it took. I was desperate.
So far I have almost lost 20 kilos. My back pain is almost gone.
I would recommend this program to anyone who has ever failed a diet. For you won’t fail this one.”

“This program really works!! It’s actually quite affordable, compared to other programs and at the end of the day, your health will cost much more down the track if you don’t start looking after yourself now.
I found it very easy & never felt hungry! The one on one coaching is fantastic and keeps you accountable each week.”

I am on track to reach a target weight that I have not enjoyed since 1984. I met Sian through Dr Richard who has been successfully treating me for “spinal malfunctions” since Jan 2013. I had come to the point where it was increasingly difficult for me to walk. I had been through a twelve month program of treatment for breast cancer and the resulting aftermath was that I was feeling very unwell, very overweight and needed some serious intervention. Doctors, friends, health professionals all said “lose some weight and you will feel so much better as well as have less load on your joints” this is as you may know yourself, much more easily said than done! Dr Richard had several information nights about nutrition which were so helpful in reshaping my consciousness about how food works in the body. I need to also say, I have type II Diabetes. In December 2014 I was taking 54 units of Levemir at night, 24 units in the morning and then whenever I ate carbohydrates throughout the day I needed quick acting insulin of 4 + units for every 15 g of carbohydrate. So food and regular food is very important to my feeling of wellbeing!
Sian Kennedy has now set up a clinic within Dr Richard’s practice, and after talking to her, I decided that she could help me with her system “Ideal Protein” . It has been a great pleasure to go on this very personal journey with Sian. I see her once a week, for a conversation about how I am doing. I keep a diary of what I eat and do throughout the week. I have tried this in the past, but this time, things are much more simple, I do use my computer, and since I record blood sugar levels throughout the day, it is not that much more difficult to keep a record of other things.
So why is Ideal Protein different? I have to say it is a combination of things: Dr Richard and his belief in the system, Sian Kennedy, Nutritionist who provides a very knowledgeable, positive and light hearted support, monitoring and encouraging me to stay in there. Each week, I do get weighed, each week I am eating very similar foods. Each day I have three specific packs of food to eat. This is in the form of powdered drinks, puddings or my very best favourites, Dill Pickle Zippers, a snack food, one of the allowable packs that has just made my life with this diet so easy. I have lost ten kilos, I have another twenty kilos to go, and one of the joys is that I have gone down two dress sizes! I now have 33 units of insulin in the evening, and 16 in the morning. Only on rare occasion do I need quick acting insulin during the day. This has a major impact on my sense of wellbeing. I am able to walk much more easily, and the old adage of “you must exercise if you want to lose weight” is not at the forefront of this program.
When I listen to the daily short video supplied by Ideal Protein, it is sticking to the program that counts and that has been made very easy and simple for a person who works, prepares meals for others as well as leading a very busy lifestyle. Sian has been amazing in walking with me and is available to discuss any matter, easily reached by text or phone. She provides a quiet positive presence in the background of my mind that keeps me focused and delighted with my achievements. People are noticing that I have lost weight, they say, “you look different” and because I obviously look so well, they know that I am unlikely to be ill. So I have been revealing my “secret”. The secret has been to plan, plan, and prepare and plan again!! If people ask, what can you eat, I say, no potato, no rice, no pasta or starchy carbohydrates, things a diabetic should be wary of in any case! And I have not felt starved or felt desperate. I have found though in times of stress either physical or psychological, my thoughts turn to food, so I have a supply of capsicums that I can munch on! I have discovered that I love them. I am getting used to going out for coffee and just having coffee or tea! No cake, funny that eh? Overall, it comes down to having a commitment, to myself and the people who love me and who are in my life, to create a healthy body and mind and enjoy this wonderful life I have been given.

My name is Erika. I am 71 years old and was really struggling with my weight and health…I ate as healthy as I knew how. I went to my Primary Care Dr. and told him I needed help to lose some weight. He patted me on the back and said “Honey, at your age it ain’t going to happen. You are more active than I am, go and enjoy your life.”
Well, how can you enjoy life when you weigh 92 kg? I couldn’t breathe. I had been on every diet out there, and nothing worked. I asked GOD for a miracle. Three days later I met Tom and he promised I could lose weight on Ideal Protein. What did I have to lose? Well, nothing but weight, so I started on the plan. The first month I lost 7 kg, in time for a 1-month trip to Europe and a cruise. I took my products along, and used them whenever I could. I had lost more weight when I got home – UNREAL…It is so easy not to worry about what to eat. I lost 20 kg. and am still working at it…
My husband’s cholesterol was 331, and the Dr. wanted to put him back on statins. I don’t like them, so we asked if he could do the program. In 5 weeks, they re-tested him, and his cholesterol was 230. His HDL went up, and his ratio is in the acceptable range. He is still doing a protein in the morning and one at bedtime. He has also learned the importance of not skipping meals.
Thanks…the answer to my prayers, and Tom’s help and encouragement.
